Wolfgang Hoeck and John Dillon teamed up again for the Rim of the World Rally. Together they finished second overall in the Friday regional rally, but driveline problems led to an off-course excursion that ended their day early on Saturday. As with the Oregon Trail Rally two weeks earlier, Perforce Software provided financial support to the team. Leon Styles was hired by Mark McAllister to race in the Open class, but a recalcitrant clutch kept them from starting even the first stage.

Leon Styles finished first on every stage of the Treeline Rally--not as a competitor, but as a contributor! Leon volunteered his time and championship-winning car to serve as the "zero car." It was his job, along with ham radio operator Chris Powell in the passenger seat, to travel the roads at near-race speeds and provide final confirmation that the special stages could safely be run. John Dillon also contributed to the success of the event by serving as a spectator marshal and tour guide, explaining to first time visitors the nature of the sport and introducing them to key players. Team Manager Denise McMahon played a pivotal role as one of the rally's organizers.
